Dr. Marymor GONE from Barix?!?!?!
I had my three month appointment towards the middle of December and Dr. Marymor himself informed me that his contract was expiring at the end of the month....If anyone has had any exchanges with him, you know that he wants to tell you more then he can, and I guess with it being so new he did not say too much. He gave me his cell phone number and advised me that he would be notifiying each and every one of his patients with his new whereabouts when he decided where that would be. I know from a previous conversation he came to PA from another state, so I am hoping that he does not flee PA! He did tell me that if I had any problems after her left Barix to feel free to call him anytime...His final day as stated was 12/31. I did ask his nurse when I saw her later what was up, and they said they could not talk about it and the nut said the same thing. Dr. Marymor does do both types of surgery, I for one should know as he performed my RYN lap, and while finishing up, his view of things was blocked by a ligament in my abdominal cavity. He chose right then and there to open me up, which to this day I am 100% grateful for. I did not want to go upstairs and have any issues and have to be brought back to the OR and opened up again....I am thankful for all he did for me and I have not had any problems to date with things....People ask why I am not upset that I have an open scar as well as lap scars, and I just tell them I have non reason to be upset....I went into this wanting to change my life, not to become a bikini model! I am thankful that he wanted to make sure all was well with my surgery..........He will be missed by me if he leaves the state!!
Thanks! I was one of those people who met with Dr. Marymor for the first time and had read all the statements from people who might not have liked him prior to our meeting and decided to make my own decision! I wanted to have the best person in the OR doing my surgery no matter what it took, and I truely felt Dr. Marymor was the man.....thanks again!
Hi,
I am very sad to hear that Dr. Marymor is not at Barix any longer. I wrote a very long post earlier, and it was eaten by the Barix hyperspace.
Anyway, please, let me know if/when anyone learns of his whereabouts. I want to continue with him if he stays in the area.
Also, if anyone has his cell number, please e-mail me.
Hugs,
Trish

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

wow that is a bummer big time. I had heard the rumors and even asked his nurse Lisa when I was there in October for my 3 month and she appeared shocked to hear the news.
I have his cell number and will call him in a few weeks to see if he's settled somewhere.
I too had my surgery done laproscopically with out some much as a twinge of pain afterwards. I think Dr. Marymour is a VERY reserved surgeon and I think Barix is a money making institution and the two didn't mix.
I am certain he will do wonderfully where ever he ends up.

I am sorry that Dr. Marymor will not be at Barix but, I will definitely go where he goes, assuming that he stays somewhat local. When I spoke to him about this at our Barix meeting he told me that we will be contacted to let us know where he is. Hopefully I will not have any problems but if I do I will make use of his cell number. For those of us in his fan club, we were lucky to have had him as our very fine and caring surgeon. As long as I have my pouch, my new body and most importantly my much healthier self, I will be thankful for Dr. Marymor.
I wish him the best of luck wherever he goes and will look forward to my 2 year followup with him at that location.
