Roger, congrads on your surgery I am amazed that they let you go after one night I was there for 3 days so you must be doing excellent but take it easy.  When George picked me up at the barix clinic I held my pillow against my belly and he hit ( I swear he aimed for) every pot hole in the road and then made up some! Men!  I am telling you.  Now I guess you know why when someone does say "you took the easy way out" we look at them and laugh.Nothing easy about this procedure. Keep peppermint de-caf tea around and it makes you feel better.  don't worry that this is a girly thing strong men drink peppermint tea and wear pink shirts.  Welcome to the loss of weight world everybody move over on the loser's bench Roger is here, Please feel free to attend our support group meetings, 3rd  wednesday of the month and first saturday of the month. Take care and good luck.

WOW!  You sound GREAT Roger!  Whoo hoo for you, and welcome to the bench!!

Keep walking - that will tremendously help those gas pains and possibly even prevent them.  Does your doctor have you doing deep breathing exercise?  I strongly suggest them, as well, although with how much you are walking, it isn't as impertive.

Keep up the fantastic work!!

Pam

Yay Roger!! Glad to hear everything went so well for you!! I look forward to hearing about your great successes in the future.  I have been reading a lot of posts on here and have seen many folks get frustrated after the first few weeks when there is only a little bit of loss or even a gain in the beginning.  From what I have read, this is normal due to the fluids and change in your body in the beginning.   Don't let it get to you.  Just keep perservering the way you are and the pounds will melt away.  I am saying this not just for you but as a future reminder for me when I get to the same point!!

Welcome to the loser's bench.   I'll be there soon!

Way to go dude!  Now the hard (but rewarding) work starts.

We'd all like to meet you if you can make the meeting @ Barix up in Langhorne on the 21st.

Regards,
