Back to Basics Challenge - Tuesday
Good Morning all! I did pretty good yesterday, I snacked on the trail mix that I had made instead of crackers and didn't have any bad carbs.
Today here is the plan
B: egg sandwich on whole grain bread - 1 slice
S: cheddar cheese & fage yogurt with sf preserves
L: chicken cesar salad with homemade dressing
S: lf sf pudding
D: something from Wegmans, maybe sushi made with brown rice
S: lf sf pudding or a protein shake
I am going to do my yoga moves to help strengthen my back/core again tonight. I see the chiropractor next week and see if I am cleared for other activities. I could be walking but haven't been.
How are you guys doing?!
Liz

Oh Liz, they're AWESOME. I had bought them but hadn't used one and then went to the Barix meeting on Saturday. The group leaders (Mike and Susan) in my group talked about them so I hurried home and used one! LOL. Arnold makes them. They come in a clear plastic bag with writing on it. Look like miniature pitas but they are not. It's a round, flat, sliced circle. Like a sandwich, but not. I can only eat 1/2 of one at a time. But I broil one half of it to crisp it up. If you like less crispy, more chewy, then don't broil for long. Then I add brushetta or pizza sauce. Add toppings (chopped olives, turkey pepperoni) and l/f mozzarella. Broil til cheese melts and browns a little. They are delish!!! Tonight I will broil 1/2 to toast it, put a slice of cheese and melt in on broil. Then top with shrimp salad. :0) YUM!!!
Liz,
I did the 5 day pouch test the boot camp way. I had a very ,very nasty gi bug that totally cleaned me out and left me wiped out too! Guess what? I now have a pouch the size it was post surgery! I guess this is the silver lining to a brutal weekend. My plan: I have made sure I took my vitamins, started today with a hot choc protein drink, and like yesterday, plan to eat very small portions, protein first, including high protein fatfree yogurt with live active cultures that I make myself. I often add a bit of splenda and davinci sf syrup or sf jam for flavor. Exercise will be my daily 6-8 min. total gym routine, and I plan to get a 45-60 min. walk in with my dogs before the weather gets bad. Water and green tea throughout the day. I wish everyone success with their plans.
