Today is Gene's 3rd year out from WLS
I'm sorry I am a few days late reading this post, but I just wanted to wish Gene a very happy 3rd surgiversary! Congratulations!! I hope you had a wonderful, happy day on the 5th and I wish you a lifetime full of wonderful, happy days!! And as for you Ida, your time is coming and I have no doubt that you will do an absolutely incredible job -- it is so great that you and Gene are here to support one another through all of this. I hope to meet you both in person one day!

Hi LIsa,
Thank you. Depending on the comfort level of my surgeon to operate on my once the hemotologist and he speak will determine if I'll be able to have the surgery at all. Gene is positive that he'll do it, me on the other hand, until I hear those words come out of his mouth, I'm not even thinking it is going to happen. But that is me, I want proof before I'll agree that it's happening I'm like that with everythign in my life.
Gene and I believe that this is a process that needs support from a family systems perspective. When he decided to have his surgery I knew I was in to support him for the long haul, just as he supports me
Next time you come this way I look forward to meeting you.
