Prepping for the back to basics challenge

WEll I just left the kitchen and made a double bactch of pudding with soy milk that I can stir protein powder into each day, cut up a bunch of low fat cheddar cheese, prepped stuff for salad, made low fat cesar dressing (well as low fat as cesar can be), cut up cataloupe, made some trail mix (thought that this might help with the need for something salty and crunchy - it is almonds, pecans, peanuts, dried cranberries, and raisins). I also have a full stock of fage yogurt and sugar free jam. I think that for breakfasts I will have my new high protein cereal and possibly a fage yogurt. Snacks will be the trail mix, fruits, cucumber sticks with ranch dip (made from fage yogurt and ranch dressing mix), fage yogurt, cheese, pudding. Oh I am going to make 16 ounces of a protein shake with soy milk before I leave the house to have throughout the day. Dinners I will stick to meat and veggies and snacks at night I will have baked fruit or puddings.

Hope that you are all getting prepared! Once again I am sure that this will become second nature to us once we "purge' of the carb demons. Any one know a good exorcist just incase? lol I know that mine are going to fight to hold on until the bitter end!!

I'll post tomorrow with my menu and Day 1 of the B2B challenge!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

lol I was busy and I am tired! I get going these days and go until I crash - lets me work a bit less during the work week - I don't have to think about food!

I didn't do a lot of prep work like you did, but I did get to the store over the weekend and stocked up on healthy snacks and stuff for lunches. I have plenty of protein powder for morning shakes and protein bars for those mid-day snacks. Your trail mix sounds really good but dried cranberries and raisins are loade with sugar, so I don't think I could do that. But I do keep nuts on hand - I got some at Costco in pre-packaged sizes so I know exactly how much I'm getting and what the protein content is. I'm all about convenience!!

tonight I will be back on my bike as well - busted my butt yesterday in the kitchen taking down the Christmas stuff and then doing a total cleaning - polishing cabinets and the bar, scrubbing down countertops, cleaning out and re-organizing drawers and cupboards - took me a while but it was sparkling when I was done and it felt great!

Kathy - I have all natural dried cranberries and raisins - no sugar added so it is all the natural kind - never made me sick before and I am a "super sensitive dumper".

Sounds like you were busy!!!
