Today has me at wor****il 4 and then I want to stop at K-mart to find some lazy susans to organize my cabinets this weekend - having A LOT of trouble finiding them! When I get home I still have laundry to put away, never got to it last night. MOstly just relaxing I feel like I am getting a bit of a head cold so I am trying to rest before it gets worse.

Good Morning Liz!!!
I went to bed around midnight and was up around 6am...which I feel fine right now but will probably be tired later. Which is a good thing so I can lay down and take a nap before work.
Overnight I had put a pork roast in the slow cooker with some bar b que sauce that I doctored up myself. It's cooked for the past 10 hours...and will be taken out shortly and "shredded" This is one of Brian's favorite ways to have pork - kind of a wink and a nudge to "pulled pork" from a bar b que joint. Considering I am working the next 3 nights in a row I know I won't be cooking to much so he'll have a whole big thing of pulled pork to heat and eat whenever he feels like it. The house smells amazing for 7am I might add!
Other than that - not to much going on today. I ran a bunch of errands yesterday and plan on just chilling until work tonight.
Oh, hubby and I watched WANTED last night w/ Angelina Jolie....good movie. A bit greusome at parts but very good! I am pretty bad at seeing "twists" coming in the movies...I'm much to gullable and believe the story right in front of my eyes...so it surprised me to a degree. Then again, Brian says Wall-E should have surprised me, too.
Have a great day!!

well since midnight lore has puked 4 times... before midnight 2... and right now I'm now dealing with the fact that I have only had a little sleep and couldn't take any of my allergy and asthma meds since they knock me out... and Jeremy had to go to work because of it being the end of the year crap... I called out from work for this morning...
I'm hoping that this is just another case of massive drainage... her ears are sooo messed up from this evil ear infection.... please pray for her because she is such a light weight already... and she hasn't eatten much in the last 24 hours... same for drinking... but she has kept down the watered down jucie so far....

Hope you both feel better soon.
When we are trying a "PO challenge" (by mouth liquids to see if a little one will keep stuff down when they have been puking) the "medical standards" are to start with one teaspoon every 5 minutes. After half an hour of that, start to up it by a teaspoon so you are doing 3 teaspoons at a time every 5 minutes. This is to be clear liquid diet only.
Keep in mind that things like ice pops and what not are also considered liquids and tend to stay down a bit easier because they aren't taking in to much liquid all at once.
After 2-4 hours of keeping clears down you can move on to full liquids. If she begins to vomit on fulls, go back to clears and start the process all over again. If she vomits with clears, keep up with the one teaspoon every 5 minutes regardless. She will most likely absorb more than she is vomiting in the long run.

Good morning. Today has me working yet again. I started at 5:30 this morning and will wor****il about 4 this afternoon. Gotta love the OT in the paycheck! Good news is my friend is going to take my daughter to her house for a few hours today. That will give her time to play with my friend's son and will give me a few hours where I can work in peace without her constantly telling me that she's bored. I cannot wait until school starts again on Monday!! It also means that she won't be vegging out in front of the TV for the entire day- they don't do TV in their house except on special occasions. Tonight I plan to make hamburgers or meatloaf for dinner. Depending on which route I take will depend on the side dishes. I'll probably stick with veggies. I need to get used to doing the revised Atkins thing for the next few weeks. I am going out for my "last supper" on New Years Eve. I plan to splurge then so I can be good from January 1 until Feb 21 when I have to on full clear liquids for 2 days. I ordered some samples of protein stuff the other day and actually got them already yesterday. So, over the next few weeks I will experiment with them to see which ones I like and hope that I still like them after the surgery. I will not go out and buy any large quantities of anything until after the surgery since many of you have said that your tastes change. I tried the EAS chocolate fudge already made drinks and they are pretty good. Tastes like slim fast, but no sugar. I may try to stick it in the blender with some ice and see if it is even better. I got samples of Chike and Unjury. Any advice on making them tasty? I haven't tried any of them yet, but would like to know of good recipes.
Better get to work.. talk to you all soon.
