Merry Christmas Roll Call
yup, it's today. I am 41. Thanks, guys!
My long lost Aunt called me this morning. The last time she saw me, I was near 400 pounds, and I told her on the phone this morning about my surgery and that I have lost 176 pounds. I told her about my summer. She was so happy to hear it. She is 84 years old, my only relative left from my dad's side (that I know of), and is still living on her farm of 60 years now. We made plans to get together next month.
I still have to get up and do my workout today. I am doing Disco Sweat and I have to wait until my son is done playing Madden '09 on his xbox! LOL.
My mom and stepdad are coming over later, and have promised to eat my spiral ham I have here! The kids are going to their dad's for a week, and I have enough glazed ham to feed an army.
:)
Good morning Katie and everyone!
My heart goes out to those of you that are spending your first christmas without a loved one. That must be hard. They may not be here physically, but they are here in spirit.
The dogs had me up at 9:00. They were getting very anxious to see what Santa brought (yeah yeah...I know...they really didn't have a clue santa was coming LOL...humor me please). I was busy cleaning and wrapping presents last night, so I ended up giving them their pigs ears and bone treats last night to keep them out form under my feet. I am pretty sure Molly buried her pigs ear under the new sofa cushions....She likes to save them for later and hide them from her brother. This morning I gave Tucker a 3 foot rawhide bone and Molly a little yellow duck that goes QUACK QUACK QUACK QUACK QUACK.....QUACK QUACK QUACK QUACK QUACK.....
QUACK QUACK QUACK QUACK QUACK.....QUACK QUACK QUACK QUACK QUACK.....over and over and over again.....Of course Tucker took off with it and hasn't stopped playing with it all morning. ,
I am going to spend the rest of the morning doing laundry, running the vacume and cleaning up a *****ow christmassy of me) and then I will head out to my parents this afternoon. I have the day off tomorrow, so I am gong to get my nails done, which I didn't get a chance to do yesterday, and I have to go for my yearly chest xray because of the thryoid cancer. Apparently, the TyCa can settle in your lungs and abdomin area (if not back in your neck) years later, so thats why I have to get it done every year.
I hope everyone enjoys there day...whether it is christmas with the family....or chinese and the movies with friends!!

Merry Christmas to you and the puppies. Your story about the bones and pig ears reminded me of a funny incident with my daughter's Jack Russell. I took my sister to visit her a few years ago, and we were out shopping one day. My sister, a real dog lover, wanted to buy a treat for Pokey, the doggie. While we were shopping, I found a 3 foot, rawhide dog bone and suggested she get that for her. Eileen shook her head, saying it was too big. So, I bought it. When I gave it to Pokey, she put her mouth around as much as she could and tried to carry it to her spot. The bone was heavy on one side, so she went down the hall with her head tipped to that side, dragging the bone to her spot. It was hysterical. My sister was amazed and we had a good laugh. The bone was longer than the dog.
Have a great Christmas.
Hugs,

My kids are playing Guitar Hero World tour on their new xbox. Deidre is on drums, Robbie and Tommy are on guitars. It also comes with a mic. My house is always full of music so this makes sense. It's so wonderful seeing them together and NOT fighting! LOL.
My kids know I am a perfume ***** and that is what they got me for Christmas. Right now I'm wearing Mariah Carey's Lucious Pink and it smells fantastic!
I've showered and gotten dressed. Going to bake them a cake for later and then I'm going to start dinner. Sometime today I need to find time to rest. I have to work tonight from 9PM-5:30AM.
Have a wonderful day and I'll see you soon.

arlene you are not the only one who goes to the movies on christmas day. we do that every year as well. except this one due to my working. hope you have fun there are lots of good movies opening today
For those of you who are celebrating without your loved ones, they are there with you in heart and spirit. I lost my mom 2 1/2 years ago and it is still strange that she is not around. It does get easier with time. I volunteered last night at the reception desk at the nursing home where she spent her last 2 years and it was weird being there without going down the hall to talk to her or having her sitting at the desk with me. But, I knew I was doing a good thing and it was even better because it was in a place where she received good care and a lot of love in her last days.
Hope everyone has a great holiday with your family and friends!
