Update on my health

I got my blood test result back and it shows borderline for Lupus.  I now have to see a rheumatologist for a consult.  I hope to get some sort of definitive answer to my pain and exhaustion soon.  My appointment is not till the first week of Decmber.

Must get to beddy bye now.

I certainly hope you can get an appointment w/ a rheumatologist quickly and finally put an end to this saga - I for one say you have had enough!!  And you can tell the doctors Pam said enough is enough!  LOL

Thanks for the encouragement.  When I went to schedule my rheumatology appointment, the first doc I called gave me an appointment in January.  That was the first available.  I told them that was ridiculous, to make me wait two months for a diagnosis and to begin treatment.  The second doc gave me an evening appointment on December 3rd.  For me to be able to get an evening appointment without asking is a miracle.

Definitely a miracle, a blessing, and great news.  Take care of yourself until then.

I'm glad you were able to get an earlier appt and hopefully will have some resolution for your problems soon. My niece is still not sure what she has - RA or Lupus - and she can't get into see an RA specialist until January. Its just not right. They have her on prednizone and naperson right now for the swelling and pain, but neither of those are good drugs to be on for extended periods of time.

I have a good Rhumatologist I see in the Northeast Philadelphia area right off Route 1. If they suspect boarderline Lupus you don't want to wait around too long. If you mention my name they will get you right in. PM me if you need his phone# they have evening and Saturday hours.

Just wanted to let you know I am thinking of you Trish and I'm glad you were able to get a sooner evening appointment.  Please let us know how things go.
