Egd

has anyone ever had a EGD.  I am having problems swollowing and I called Hershey today and I am having the procedure done on Thursday.  Just wondering what it is like...I can feel the food go down my throat and it feels like it doesn't want to go into my pouch

I actually just had an EGD yesterday because I'm having trouble with heartburn.  I was very very worried about them huring my pouch or something during it, but everything was fine.  They give you sedation during the test, so you don't know what's going on, and the sedation is much easier to wake up from than general anesthesia.

Good luck with it.  I hope they can figure out what the problem is!
