Just the beginning.

Hello everyone!! Just wanted to introduce myself to you all. My name is April and I am just starting my journey to WLS. I just started all the insurance requirements and hope to be scheduled for surgery sometime after the new year if all goes well. I am hoping that through joining this site I will gain both a lot of helpful knowledge and support. I hope I don't ask too many questions =)

Hi April.,..welcome and congrats on the beginning of your journey.  I am mid way thru my pre op requirements and hope to have surgery in the spring of next year.  There are so many wonderful people here on the PA group, in all stages of their journeys.  Tons of fun and info to be learned around here too.

Welcome to the pa group!!  You will certainly learn a lot from everyone here - there's somebody in every stage of the game from where you are to 5+ years out.  We're a big "family" here and have a wonderful time together.

I also am beginning my WLS journey. I've been around this board for awhile because my hubby had his surgery in Jan 2006. This is a great board, when I needed to find out information on things my hubby was going through so that I could understand everyone on here was so informative and welcoming to me. Now that I'm beginning my WLS journey I feel very comfortable with everyone here. I know you'll have the same positive experience that I've had here as well.

There are folks here from all stages of WLS who will do whatever they can to help and support you no matter what so don't ever feel like you're asking too many questions - There's no such thing on this board.
