***Wednesday Roll Call***

Well tonight is my insomnia night, so I figured I would start roll.

First of all, thank goodness it is not Tuesday any more!  Yesterday was one heck of a day.  Computer class in the morning went fine.  Went to the ER from 1-4.  The little "bus" that takes employees from the parking lot to the hospital was no where to be found (probably because it was off shift times) so I got in patient and walked...it's pretty far...but handled the walk just fine of course (never would have done that a year ago)  However...it was COOOOLLLLDDD.

Got into the ER.  The director of my orientation hadn't really set up a schedule for me...so it was "well who should she go with?" for about 20 mins.  Got my preceptor...who was awesome.  He gave me a run down on a few things...and then gave me a patient to take care of so that I could do the documentation.  That's the hardest part for me - documentation - cause it's all computerized.  So he sets me up on the computer...tells me to sit there and do the documentation (which is fine by me) and he would be back in 15mins...introduces me to the charge nurse in case I have any questions.  About 3 mins later we hear a "thump" from the one room I have...yep - my little confused man climbed out of bed and fell.  *sigh*  This is a big to do in the hospital setting....so now it's time to reasses...get him back in bed...do an incident report...etc etc etc.  Not the best way to start off my first shift there.

Then go see the washer/dryer which was an awesome bargain...and the guy offers to deliver for us for $20 as I would have had to set up a friend of ours picking it up and what not.  Call hubby...tell him....get home w/ the stuff...and after the guy leaves hubby has an out of body experience with me....don't know what provoked it....apparantly...he didn't want a washer dryer....which is a bunch of BS and I'm the one who does the laundry anyway...had a nice little screaming match...he left...and hasn't been home since.  Who knows when he will be home.

I went to bed around 8...but am up now.  And I have to be in work by 7.  Not my bestest hour, I might add.

So.....thanks for letting me rant.  Today I am at work from 7-3:30.  Then it will be home.  Hopefully Brian will be home (and I do mean BRIAN and not the person who left earlier tonight...cause that was not my husband...) and we can talk rationally about a bunch of stuff.

Then it will be some phone calls and to bed early for another early 7am day on Thursday.

Hugs and good thoughts to all,

Pam

Happy Hump Day all. Well today has me going to Barix to see the wonderful Dr. Pupkova for my 3 month follow-up. Hope it goes well. After that I have my first parent/teacher conference at my daughter's school (she's in kindergarten).
I then will come home and try to finish up my application for LaSalle's Clinical Psych program for January - I have to write a goal statement - whihc I did but I dont like the one I wrote so I will be trying again. They said it should be 1 page which is what is hurting me. Im used to having to write much more for goal statements.

Thats all for me - plus laundry day!!!!!! yea ... ugh.....

Today has me at work, and then leaving for a quick fetal heartbeat check at the OB. It is coming to around the same time frame in the pregnancy I lost my son this past June, so I am a nervous wreck. So I called and begged them to let me stop in to check for the heartbeat. Just to ease my mind. Then I will head back to work.

After work, will probably be grabbing some things at the store for dinner as my firdge is empty and I haven't done any big shopping for over 2 weeks! LOL

Then hopefully doing some wash and jus****ching some TV. Hope everyone has a great day!

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

Good Wednesday morning everyone and to Pam,

Pam, I'm sorry about Brian.  I'm sure he'll be back and it will be Brian.  Men suck, don't they??  I mean, they just need to grow up already.  Garry will be 40 next year and is the biggest baby with stuff.  It's like OMG did you just react like that to that.  Sometimes it's really pathetic.  Anyway, I'm sure everything will be fine.

This morning I'm feeling a little better than yesterday.  Have a cough that now is bringing up some stuff.  My nose feels like it's going to fall off.  Yesterday at my job I had to keep a tissue in my lap and every time there was a slight pause, I would put it up to my nose and wipe.  Not to be gross, but the snot was just pouring out by itself.  Totally gross.  Then I get home by 5:00 and had to tidy up the house for people coming out to see it.  Then I had to run back out at 5:30 to get to Macy's by 5:45 for orientation.  Was there until 8:30.  Came home and read over some stuff.  And went to bed by 10:30.

Now it's up this morning.  I'm going to eat my breakfast and jump in the shower.  I'm heading out to Wyomissing today for a job.  It should be a good one and they are new clients.  So I will be dressed very well today and on my best behavior!!!  I have to be there at 10:00 and then there's another witness scheduled for 1:30.  So who knows what time I'll be home.  Then tonight is bowling.  Boy, I better make sure I take my vitamins, because between being sick and running around like a crazy person these past couple of days, I'm going to be exhausted.

Well, sorry to ramble, but a lot of stuff happening.  Have a great day!!!

Karen

Good Morning All - Pam *hugs* hope today goes better - you know where to reach me if you need anything!

I am at work - barely awake and already moody. My mom has her colostomy reversal today so if anyone wouldn't mind sending up a little prayer I would appreciate it! So after work I am making the long trek to Somerset Medical Center to see her - then home to CRASH! I have had to medicate this morning or I already would have strangled one of my co-workers ...

Well happy wednesday!

Good morning everybody - Pam, sounds like hubby is having a little snit and is hopefully over it by now - stressful moving and all that stuff. But he really was off-base going off about the washer and dryer. Anyway, try to get some rest...

I'm back at work today - it was nice having yesterday off - hubby and I went to b'fast to celebrate our 19th anniversary and last night met some friends in South Philly at Chickies & Petes - I love that place but they have nothing 'good' for us WLS patients to eat - so I just didn't overdo. The place was mobbed because the Philadelphia Kixx were kicking off their soccer season and the Kixx dancers were there. I've never been to that place when it wasn't mobbed!

Not much going on today - it should be quiet at work - we have a few people coming in for a meeting so most of my people will be locked in the conf room all day. Tonight I'm off to the gym,

Hoope everyone has a good day - Kathy

Hi,

Did too much yesterday three days postop (gallbladder), so today I rest.  I don't want any complications.  Tomorrow is going to be quite busy.  So looks like next week is alot of snow days!

I never want to take health for granted!

Good Morning Everyone!

Pam, I guess Brian is just having post-moving meltdown and hopefully, he will transitition into living in a new state quickly, though I know from my own experience, it can be a challenge, either way, it seems like the two of you manage to work through things and I'll certainly be hoping that the rest of your ER experiences aren't quite what yesterday's was. . .  hugs

As for me, well here I am at work, not too much happening at the moment, but I've been asked to lend a hand to the service desk, as the person *****gularly works that job is out sick and since I've made it a point to let my supervisor know that I'm bored and willing to help when and where needed, she took me up on it, so perhaps I will get something more to do today, if not, I always find a way to pass the day. . .

Well guys and gals, hope you have a good day and my prayers and positive thoughts go out for all!

Hugs, Laureen

 Good Morning Pam,
I am late with Roll Call because Comcast cut off my home internet for some bizarre reason, like my bill payment is late.  The Nerve.     Seriously, my checking account is low due to some unexpected withdrawals that I won't get into.

Tuesday was a lazy day for me, as I had to keep my leg up with the cellulitus.  I did get to the dentist for some scaling and the hospital to get my bloodwork done.  Dr. Marymor wanted my B12 checked again.

Today has me at work, and then I must go to Comcast and pay them in person, as I get paid tomorrow, so there should be money in my account.  After that, I have my group.

Nothing else new and exciting, except my family did Pollyanna names for holiday shopping and I got my nephew, the Special Olympics athlete.  I can't wait to shop for him.

Hugs,
Trish

Smileycons!Morning all!

(((((Pam)))))  I'm feeling much better.  Would you like me to track him down and hit him in the head with a frying pan? snicker. (Ok that was really mean on my part... but the offer still stands!)

I'm semi off today.  I dont go into wor****il 10:30 PM.  I started full liquids today! It's wonderful to have something heavier in my stomach.  I do get little pains after but its nothing I can't handle.

I wish I could start exercising but I know I need to stick to walking until I see my surgeon next week.

Hope you all have a great day!

Diane
