Surgiversary of another kind....11 years
Wow, Heather...I see you out here all the time supporting everyone and praying for all of us in one way or another, and never knew about your own past struggles with cancer. You are one amazing lady and everything you said in your post is so true - it is all about health - not the dress or jean size - not the number on the scale. We could all do a 'spread' in Playboy - spreading our batwings, spreading our saggy thighs, spreading our droopy boobs (guess that's not the kind of 'spread' they want, huh?!!! But hey, we all appreciate what we have on the inside more, and reading your post makes me realize that once again.
I will always be sending a silent prayer your way that the cancer is beaten down and gone for good - and that you stay as positive and upbeat as you always are!!
Kathy

thank you so much Kathy. I've had a rough few hours and was a bit emotional about a few things - and reading your description of the "spread" that we could do...well it lifted my spirits. Unfortunately - the boobs are still sagging - it didn't lift them at all.

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.
Thanks, Kathy. The girls of WLS edition of playboy....Now that would be something to see!! LOL
I do my once a year reflection on the cancer, other than that, I tend not to talk about it too much. I bring it up occasionally when its a topic of discussion or I need to tell someone for medical reasons, but it was never something I wanted attention over. I never wanted people to think I was looking for sympathy. **** happens to me, just like it happens to everyone else. Its how we shovel our **** that makes a difference in how we choose to proceed with our lives.

Heather...
Thank you for sharing your 11 surigvesary with us. You had me choked up with your expressive words but you never seem to let us forget to find the humor in things. I am one that can appreciate the sense of humor.
You have an amazing outlook on life and welcome having someone just like you in my world as an inspiration.
