Have they tested her for RA (rheumatoid arthritis) yet? It took almost a year for my mother in law to get this dignoisis... so maybe this is what Leah has... it sounds a lot like it... stiff, swelling, pain... etc... and you can get this at any age...

Thanks Shannon - I really appreciate that. I suggested RA to my mom when we were talking about it - I know that can come on suddenly, too. She was at a small local hospital before - I think they'll do more extensive at Lancaster. Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers...
