My WLS journey is about to begin
Hi Pam,
Thanks, one day at a time is my philosophy. Gene is still looking into his plastic surgery, he has an appointment with another PS on the 3rd of november. Hopefully when I'm close to the end of my recovery from this I'll be ready to take care of him after his plastic surgery.
I'll be making my appontment for WLS sometime in the near future and then will just have to time manage to end up at an actual surgery date that is good for the cumadin therapy for this darn blood clot. Doc seems optimistic that my leg will go back to normal, I'm not so convinced yet, but I trust him so I'll get my optimism back soon

I would not be where I am now if it weren't for my PCP. Long story, but it was he who suggested I check into again that got the wheels rolling first in my mind, then ultimately into
fruition. I had had blood clots in my lungs back in 2004, and I was told my ANOTHER pcp that no surgeon would ever do my RNY. I am forever in debt to my current PCP for his suggestion and reassessment of my case.

Nice to meet you. Our PCP is the one who supported my hubby's WLS back in 2006 and had been suggesting it to him for quite some time. I knew he'd be on board for the surgery my only apprehansion was that I was not heavy enough for it, my BMI is currently 35.5 but with the co-morbities I'm a good candidate for it. According to my PCP having the blood clot is a positive for WLS so it's all up hill from here
