Shocked myself!! aka WOW moment

As many of you know, I started taking karate and got my uniform this week.  The top is a wrap around style that ties at each side of your waist.  I needed to get a tank top for under the top so the girls don't pop out. I have plenty of tee shirts, etc, but didn't want the bulk underneath.  Anyway....I stopped at the good will on the way home and they had one cotton tank top that would work, but it was only a medium and looked way too small.  I was just going to buy it because it was only $3.50 and knew some day it would fit, but I decided to try it on anyway....IT FIT!!!.....with extra room!!   I thought if it went on at all, it would be skin tight.  NOT!!

Then, I found a grey, wool coat, that I really liked....I am wearing a bulky wool sweater today (yes in 70 plus degree weather, but I have become very cold blooded...although some like to think of me as a cold blooded ***** I am happy to say that I am becoming very fond of the word "whatever!!"   But I am topic hopping....so back to the story)   Bulky sweaters are perfect for trying on coats so you know if you will have enough room.  I  decided to try it on even though I did not think I would get into it...it looked too small.  Well, it fit so I was happy.  I took it off and looked at the price tag ($9.00!!) which was attached to the size tag.....it was a f*cking size SMALL PETITE!!!  Huh.... I got into that???  Cool Beans!!

Its funny how even at 2 years out, what I see and what is real are two different things.  I am really curious as to what size I will wear after I hit goal, which I may end up readjusting to a lower weight at that point, and after plastics.  Is it too far fetched to think I might ever get into a 10 or an 8 or even a 6???  I never thought I could get down to a 6, but now I am beginning to wonder.

Ok...enough about my wow.   I have to my butt in gear and get out of here for now...

Congratulations
I am between freezing and sweating my butt off. Been taking the grandbaby(s) for walks a couple of times a day but when the weather gets colder I'm staying inside...I have quit looking for "WOW" moments lately. Have put on a few pounds so if I do anything it will be...

YAYYY!  What an awesome wow.  Because first it's a size/weight loss AND it's CHEAP clothes.  Both together?  ******ic!  You go girl, you're an inspiration and I really needed to read this today because I'm feeling really down.......

HG,

I love your WOW moment, I've done the same thing, but for me it was buying something thinking it would fit and then having to take it back because it was too big, but this is about you and your possibilities, so believe it and you will make it happen!

Hugs, Laureen

Oh, Heather, that is soooooooooooooooo frigin' FANTASTIC!!!!  I'm so glad that you are having wow moments with being two years out.  This surgery will never cease to amaze me.  You have done so well and continue to do well.  I wish you all the best as you strive to fit in a 6.  And are you kidding me about it being far fetched???  NO WAY!!!  YOU CAN DO IT!!!!  Congrats!!!

Way to go HG!!  Goes to show you that it does take that long to figure out what you really are!!  I told you last month that you were looking quite fab - and you do!!  I know what you mean though - we were at costco today and I wanted to pick up a few long sleeve tops of sorts to wear to my first couple of orientation days which is business attire (I have a whopping one pair of slacks and one shirt and figured after a day or two they might realize that I was wearing the same thing everyday....LOL)  They don't have dressing rooms.  I picked up a button down shirt in a medium which was also marked "6/8" Brian said "That will be to big"  I said - looki at it - it might be to SMALL!!  So we undid everything right there in costco (it was folded, pinned, you name it) and I put it on - damn if he wasn't right.....but I digress.....Congrats on such a great moment!!

Thanks everyone!  I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel and I am confident that I can get to goal by New Years Eve.  Then...it will be time for a new goal.  I honestly can't see myself where I ideally want to be in 39 pounds ( I think each of my thighs alone could stand to lose 39 pounds a piece!), but at least I will be at my original goal and can reassess from there.
