Protein bars

Hi Pa Posters,
I tried a new protein bar and I love it.
Doctor's CarbRite Diet Protein bar
2 ounces
190 calories
0 sugar
protein 21 grams
I got the chocolate brownie - it takes like a Milky Way bar.
They have a bunch of other flavors also.
I got them online from Vitacost.com for 12.40 for a box of 12.
They do charge a 4.99 flat delivery fee - but I also buy vitamins and protein powder there.

Thanks Tammy! I always keep a stock of bars on hand for those emergency times and I'm running low so I think I'll try a box of these - we're going on a cruise in another week and wanted to make sure I took a stash along on that as well for when we hit the beach and stuff. Thanks!!

they sell those bars. I am not dure of the cost but I do know if you buy 12 mix N match they give you a discount

Susan's right...Champ has them for $18.99/box but they let you mix/match the flavors.  My fav is the choc mint...tastes like a soft thin mint Girl Scout cookie.  Champ has a lot of other good bars too if you ever want to try just one of something.

I will try Champs. I like the idea of the mix and match so I do not end up with a whole
box that I am not loving. The mint sounds delicious.
I always try to carry a bar with me for emergencies.
Like I drive by Nabisco and smell them baking and need a fix.

Those sound yummy.  Anything that tastes like a Milky Way has got to be good.

I recently discovered a new bar by Atkins.  It's the Chocolate Chip Granola Bar.  1 sugar, 2 sugar alcohols, 200 calories, 17 grams protein.  What I like about them is I can eat the entire bar in one sitting, thus getting the entire 17 grams of protein.  All the other bars I've tried are way too dense and I can only eat 1/4-1/3 at a time. 

Champs is right around the corner from me so I'm going to have to pay them a visit to try  Doctor's CarbRite.  Thanks for the tip.

I never tried the Atkins bars - will look at them next time I am at the store.
The Carb rite can be eaten all at one time also. They are a nice size - not too
small and not too big. Sounds like that fairy tale.

I have a good idea.  Bring one of the CarbRite bars on Saturday and I'll trade you for one of my Atkins.  Sound good???
