Hello PA Friends...

It's been a while since I posted over here, but I check in frequently.  My date is coming close so I am naturally coming the boards, to get myself mentally prepared, I just tend to spend alot of time on the DS forum since I am having that surgery.  I am very excited, but also going through alot at the same time.  I am moving in two week, and that just doesn't even seem real to me, but I had to do it now, and get it done before surgery.  Do you think I can pile on anymore pressure on myself!?!   I am now on day four of quitting smoking and doing pretty well, of course I am using a patch, and so far have not tried to kill anyone...LOL!!  I can't believe how close I am coming to this date already, and still don't have my stuff in, but I figure I have two more paychecks to order my vit's and some shakes, will probably order them next week. 

Don't think I can make the OH event, will be trying to spend all my free time, packing up what I can and throwing out what I don't need, feels good to be purging the house!!

oh the joys of moving!  I am in the process of that myself.  We don't move until Nov 1st...but I start my new job on Nov 3....so the pressure is on!  Dealing with that before surgery - well - I can't even imagine.

Don't buy to much of protein powders and what not - because something you like now (or even one day after surgery) you may absolutely detest the next day.  Try to get samples to have on hand for after surgery (going to GNC and places like that they most of the time hook you up) and then try them after surgery and then you will know what to buy.

Hi Kat,
So glad you dropped in to share where you are.  I hope your move goes smoothly.  I know that can be quite stressful, as I had to move out of a huge house into a 2 bedroom apartment seven years ago, and it was timed to coincide with Christmas and my daughter's wedding a few days later.  ACK!

Keep us posted on your progress.

HEY Kat~ yes you do have alot on your shoulders dont you! You will be just fine and your in excellent hands with DrB,and he is cute to boot so ,take some time for yourself in between your move and relax!Talk to ya soon,Hugs Trish

Pam, thanks for the tip about the protien powders, good idea.  I tend to read about how other stock up on everything so early and thing I am doing something wrong by waiting til the last minute, but that's me, last minute girl!! 

Tri****hink Dr. B is cute too...though it was just me...LOL.  I think because he is our surgeon and has such power over us, in terms of giving us this new life, that makes us swoon! LOL! 
I am moving from a house to a 2 bedroom apt too, I am glad, it's been a rough, emotional process, but now I am ready for it, and glad to be downsizing.  I couldn't really keep up with the house anyway as far as repairs go and such, so it was deteriorating.  The apt will be much nicer, it's in Norristown, much closer to my work.  I was trekking from phill to west chester everyday, YIKES!  I will save money all around as well.  I will keep you all posted!
