Your thoughts on the bed being cold is something that had crossed my mind.

I'm thinking of putting the electric blanket UNDER the sheet (on top of the mattress pad) and turning it on about an hour before I go to bed - I guess like a make shift heated mattress pad (I didn't even know they sell those....)
