HMOs
Hi
I was wondering if anyone on here has Geisinger HMO.
My husbands work offers only Blue Cross of NEPA or Geisinger HMO both hmo's and we have had Blue Cross of nepa formerly First priority Health hmo for a long time and we are seriously thinking about switching over to the Geisinger plan--as my current HMO is giving me a hard time about going to my local Geisinger medical center for my follow up GI Nutrtion visits lately..
I know that most of you on this PA forum have gone or are going to the Bariatric clinic-but was wondering if anyone had Geisinger HMO and if they liked it and if they gave them a hard time about covering things I know all hmo's are the same really-
I also was hoping that they would cover the Plastic surgeon as my current HMO would not even let me go for a consult..
If anyone has had any experience with this HMO plz let me know--as i am afraid we do change our insur that we will be sorry --I also have Medicare as my secondary insurance as I am on SS Disability due to my diabetic complications..
