Diane - Sorry to hear that. Fidn out about the COBRA, Then call your surgeon's office - see if there is anything that they can do to get you a date soon, as soon as the surgery is over you can cancel the COBRA and deal with the followups as needed.

Hi Diane - boy, this really sux - plain and simple. But you seem to be a very strong woman and I know you'll figure out how to work thru this and have your surgery and be on  your way. you've gotten a ton of great advice here about Cobra and other benefits - hopefully something will work out. I'll be sending out some prayers for you - please don't get too discouraged - you know you have our full support and understanding - turn to us instead of food.

   Stay strong and focused you are going to get trhough this hurdle. As others suggested call your surgeon see if  you can get the date moved up and look into cobra even if it is short term for surgery and your insurances kicks in at your job.
