OT: My son-in-law

My daughter called this afternoon to tell me her husband was being taken into surgery because of a serious injury to his hand.  Something about a broken finger and the skin being infected.
Well, he had the surgery, and they have to call in an infectious disease specialist.  He must remain in the hospital till at least Friday, and may have to have another surgery.  After discharge, he will remain on IV antibiotics for three weeks.

Trent, my son-in-law, is a contractor, so he needs his hands.  You may remember me sharing that when I was in Michigan visiting them, he suffered from a kidney stone.

My daughter works part time as a teacher, so they really need the income, and cannot offord to have him sick at this  time.

We would appreciate your prayers for everyone.

Hugs and love,\
Trish

Trish,

I'm sorry to hear about your son in law.  I would give you the name of a fabulous ID doctor - but I don't think he does office hours in Michigan :(  Keep us updated and I will be praying for your family.

Trish,

Sorry to hear about your SIL.  I know just what working with your hands is all about, because that's what I do.  And it's very scary when something happens.  My husband is a sheet metal worker and also works with his hands making duct work.  He's come close a few times with the sharpness of the sheet metal of losing a finger or gashing himself.

I will keep your SIL, you and your family in my prayers and hope he can use his hands real, real soon.

Take care,
Karen
