6 Month Post-Op and Laura D

Hi everybody - just got back from Barix and my 6 month post-op. Had a great visit with Dr Boe - he feels I'm doing great - I felt I should have lost a little more. He said that's why he never beats up on his patients - we do it to ourselves enough! But in the last 3 months I have started a good exercise routine and of course my eating has improved, so my weight loss has slowed. I had a mini-stall a short time back but the scale is moving again. The nut seemed happy with my food logs - only thing Dr Boe wants is a bone scan - sounds pretty routine, so I'll do that when I get back from Seattle in September.

I stopped up to see one of our newbies - Laura D - she had her surgery yesterday with Dr P. She seems to be doing very well - was upbeat and looked good - she was tired - had just showered and we all know how that can wipe you out the first time. I'm so glad I stopped in - she seemed really pleased to meet someone from the Boards.

If anyone gets to Barix early tonight for the meeting and has some time maybe a quick visit would be nice. I gathered she won't have many visitors since she hasn't told anyone but her husband about the surgery. She's in Room 209.
