Im looking for some advice if this happens again in the future...Im not so quick sometimes on things I find offensive.

Here's the story:

I was out with friends (they arent my friends..they are my friend's friends) and they were discussing why they dont like going to this one restaurant/bar.  The one guys proceeds to say: "Oh- we dont go there becuase we hear they have roaches and rats...and fat girls. Really fat girls."

I let it go, but wish I had something good and quick to go back at him.

Any suggestions???

Yeah, I understand I probably would have done the same thing. I love my Best friend but her Boy friend doesn't like me because I'm "The Fat Friend". People can be such *Bleep* holes.

Good luck next time!

Sadly Jen there is no surgery to fix stupid and ignorant ....It can be touchy with your friend dating him but maybe she could stepped up to say something to him.

My response:  "Gee, I doubt they have rats and roaches . . .  if the girls are large, full figured gals, the food must be FANTASTIC!  It's always good to eat where the wait staff and all actually eat the food they serve. I've found that with places where everyone is skinny and uptight, it generally suggests the owners/managers/help are full of arrogance and an inferiority complex, stuck up bi&ches.  I like places where you can be comfortable and feel at home.  I'm really sorry to learn that you're so into looks.  Are you in the shallow end of the pool for all of your choices in life?"

I like what Jan said.  To go along with what she said, you could add, "If you are that into looks, I sure feel sorry for (girlfriend's name), and hope she never struggles with her weight like I did.  I was once one of the REALLY FAT girls, and am so glad that I am not anymore.  I just hope that my future boyfriends aren't as shallow as you."

If words fail you, there is always a kick in the balls to get his attention.  Followed by a "Oops, my bad.  My trick knee sure has been out of control SINCE I LOST ALL THE WEIGHT.  I guess I should go see my orthopedist and have it examined again."

One final thought:  You can always say, "Well, at least there is weight loss surgery for the fat people.  There is no surgery to fix stupidity.  If I find a surgeon that does that, I will be sure to let you know."

Hugs,
Trish
