measuring and loose skin

Ok, not sure what to do anymore with this lol... I went to do my measurements today and well... I have a ton of loose skin on my arms... and depending on how I measure they are actually bigger (because of more loose skin) but if I roll it up lol they are smaller... I am also starting to get more loose skin on my thighs...

So, how do you all measure with this loose skin?

Also, anyone know how to deal with the skin itchies from the loose skin? I think I am going to go mad from it... I feel like I am covered in itching powder lol...

Thanks,

That is a good question. I basically roll it up and try and get it to measure as small as possible.
I use Eucerin calming creme to deal with my itchies.

yeah that is it... it drives me nuts... I have the itches all over ... the worse area is the flap over my girly bits... and I don't think the heat and humidity help at all... and yes, my hubby checks to make sure it is alright... and it is... just loose itchy skin!

I have a ton of loose / extra skin and still take my measurements on the 11th of every month (my monthly surgiversary).  My schedule has been so so so crazy these past few months - I havent really posted - but I have been keeping up with reading the PA/NJ posts.  As of this past Monday (my 8th month) I have lost 135 3/4 inches since my surgery on 12/11/07.  AND that equates to ALOT!!! of extra skin everywhere (neck, arms, thighs, stomache, butt, hips).  For me I tuck it, roll it, pull it aside, anything to get as close to an accurate measurement as I can get.

My toughest measurement is my bust line.  Going from a 54DDD down (now) to a 38 DD - its mostly a trick just to tuck it all into a bra and not look like I have an extra set or two of Ta Tas.

Also I agree on the moisturizer - BUT remember you should be seeing your PCP on a regular basis to have him document the skin rashes from the extra skin - just in case you need medical documentation for plastics later down the road as well as to make sure nothing is getting infected.

my PCP won't deal with me now- he hasn't wanted to deal with me since around oh 6m or so- can we say ********! so once I hit 200 pounds I am going to a plastic surgeron and let them do it... they will know how to do it all and they will be the ones submitting the stuff to the insurance company anyways... hehehe...
