First visit to surgeon

Today was my first visit with the surgeon and all went well.
Now I have a list of tests to get done and 6 months of work with a dietician ahead of me. This is going to be so worth it. I have been over weight all my life and finally the tool I need to succeed i here!
I am excited yet nervous something will go wrong  with the insurance company.

Glad to hear your visit went well!  I know six months sounds like a long time, but I can tell you that it's taken me six months (almost) from consult to surgery and it has flown by.  I understand the nerves about insurance, but don't let that get in the way of your excitement -- this is a very exciting time!

Congratulations Laurie - you're on your way! I had my initial consult in June of 2007 and didn't have my surgery until Feb 2008, but it didn't seem like it took that long. I had a 3 month regime that I had to go thru but then with all the other tests and stuff it just took that long, but it was worth it and it lets you get prepared for what lies ahead.
