Ronni... that is sooo wonderful!  I was never able to do those things with my children either.. but now I can with my Granddaughter. She's 14 1/2 mths.   
You said you went to the Pgh zoo... do you live fairly close?  I'm in Butler.. about 45 minutes north of Pgh.   Maybe we can meet sometime!

Oh.. and another thing I do now... I ride a motorcycle!   A sportsbike..otherwise known as a "crotchrocket"  I love it.  It was my son's and now I ride in his memory and to be close to him.

Our  granddaughters are about the same age. Mine is 16 months old.
