Hi All,
Well, today is the first day I had enough engery to get on the laptop. My surgery went well but since I had a lot of scar tissue I had to have my surgery open. I had a lot of swelling so I was throwing up a lot. Today I am finally on ice chips and my surgery was Wednesday. Dr. Boe has been taking good care of me. I get to have liquids tomorrow and hopefully leave Monday. I got off my morphine this morning so 'things' are moving nicely now. the nurses are great and I have no gas pains what so ever. I guess all that walking helps. I just wanted to update you all and thank your for your works of support. Of course all the other pateints gone home and it's just me and Jen (MOM2ADAM) she is leaving soon. It will just be me tomorrow and most of Monday. The only think bad I have to say about Barix is their tv stations SUCK...lol.

Hey Tracey,

The worse part is over and Monday afternoon will be here before you know it.  Try and relax you know that you are in good hands.  I also had open after the surgeon drilled for lap.  I am two years post op and only had a small wound infection after the GBS.  I did develop (???) a hernia but had that taken care of with my second panni removal.

I wish you well and keep your chin up you are on the loser's bench.

Hi Tracy - I'm so sorry to hear you've had such a difficult time with your surgery, but Dr Boe is one of the best and I know you're in good hands. Thank goodness its a nice quiet facility and you can get plenty of rest - you'll need that at home, too, so I hope you have good support. Take care and keep us posted - we're keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. Kathy

lol i agree on the TV stations... that is why I brought books... I just read the whole time lol...

Glad you are doing pretty well after your surgery... I had a lot of scar tissue too from my c-section... but some how doc boe was able to keep mine lap. I have no idea how from how he discribed it... but he did... but then again... I got 2 extra holes because of it lol... but before the surgery I couldn't lie down on my stomach... and now I can... so whatever he did... I am forever thankful lol... made doing stupid things like looking under the bed... HARD lol...

Tracy,
Sorry to hear about your setback, and that you are stuck with the Barix cable TV system.  That is the worst as far as I am concerned.  But, glad you are on the mend, and feeling as well as you are.  Barix is the best care anywhere.

Keep walking and you will continue to feel better.

Hugs,
Trish
