I love the idea of an OH Knit/Crochet group!  I would go.  I love to knit and BS.  Now that I'm part of a knitting group, I can understand why women have had crafting groups for years!

I dont really have one I guess reading would be it. I tried to learn knitting when i was recovering from my surgery to give me something to do but I am just not that good with fine motor skilled things. Oh well. Still looking for my hobby

I'm not a needle craft type person although I have done some cross stitch in the past.

My biggest outlet is the internet. I have a lot of "internet buddies" from all over. I like message boards and certain online support group type chat rooms.

I also read a lot, at least two books a week. I love everything- Fiction, Non-Fiction, Biography, Magazines, just whatever.

I write poetry and keep a journal.

I also scrapbook. 2 yrs ago for Christmas my husband bought me a complete kit of "Creative Memories" tools!!

I also love taking photos, but I'm not good enough to say I'm a photograher.
As part of a "pre-op" motivational gift my husband bought me a digital camera, with hopes that I can get outdoors and take some pictures and get some exercise at the same time. I love landscape photos. You can see my photos on MySpace:  http://www.myspace.com/evrblue . I also have some of my poetry on my blog there.

I also like to collect recipes, from magazines, newspaper, friends and family,
which I organize in binders with page protectors.

I enjoy cooking but I haven't done much lately.

I'd love to learn to knit or crochet, and I also plan on taking a pottery class in the fall!

My daughter loves to scrapbook, and has warned me not to start because it is so expensive and addictive.  When we go to craft stores she is in the scrapbook section and I am in the yarn section.  Enjoy.
Hugs,
Trish

My Mom taught me to knit and crochet when I was little, I can crochet pretty quickly but don't generally do it. I love to garden and sew.(28 and sounding like an old lady too... :)!) I have a killer veggie garden this year, now that we bought the house and I actually have ground to plant in! I would have to say that coming home from work and going out to pick something fresh to have with dinner is one of the most rewarding things in the world. Winter is going to be especially hard on me this year. I guess thats when I have to start sewing more, I've done bathrobes, about 1000 blankets, curtains, pillows. This winter I think I want to try and make myself some tops.My Grandmother has been a seamstress well her entire life she used to do wedding gowns and has made all of her and her husbands clothes for at least 50 years. She taught me to sew when I was young and just last year did I really get hooked.

Oh and I also LOVE to cook - everyone tells me that I missed my calling going into Graphic Design and I should own a restaurant/bakery. I don't think that I am that great but do try to make everything from scrat*****luding bread. MY Mom's Mom calls me her little suzie homemaker. Now if I could just hire a maid... lol

I've recently really gotten into crocheting and knitting so I do that or I make hair bows or read a good book.
This crocheting and knitting could become an addiction... I suppose its better than my old food addiction and its much more calming

I love interior design but sadly I've run out of rooms!! I do like to make scrapbooks, too - have done some for myself and one for my sister when she was moving and she was thrilled with it. Never had 'formal' training but they come out pretty good. I guess my puppy Jude is my newest 'hobby' - I can play and mess with him for hours and never get bored or tired of it. Kathy

Oh I never thought about my 3 furry children as a hobby! They are cats, but shhhh! Don't tell them, they think they are babies!

I have Bella, who is oldest, she's a brown tabby and so fat we have nicknamed her "Tubby"... Then there is Boo Boo who is a diluted tortie who is known as "Alpha *****" because she thinks she rules the world and everything in it...and then there is the youngest, Lovebug, she's a black and white "tuxedo" who is blind in one eye but is just as quick to run around with the others and play the midnight crazies.

(if u are a cat person, u know ab the midnight crazies, all the cats suddenly start running around the house like the devil himself is after them. This only happens at night after you have gone to bed, and you hear the stampede of kitty feets everywhere in the house)

They really are our children...Boo Boo waits at the door every morning for "dad" to come in from work. They all 3 will cuddle around you when you don't feel well- I guess they sense it. And lookout if chicken is on the menu, you have never heard such pitiful "feed me" meows! They get treats, toys, scratching pads, their own pillows on our bed (yes they all sleep with us), and plenty of catnip and wheat grass. Bella has diabetes, so we must give her insulin injections twice and day and she gets Rx food from the vet, very expensive but worth it to keep her live and healthy. My hubby even scoops the litter box, something he swore he'd never do when we got married LOL

Who do you think runs this house? The furry critters of course! Wouldn't have it any other way!
