OT - Do we have any contractors out there I have a deck question

OK so hubby and I bought our house in January of this year. We would like to add a low deck to our back yard. It is 15' square with an elevation of whatever the minimum is on one side and maybe a foot on the other. (The yard is sloped). We are going to try and do the work ourselves. Hubby is quite handy and is good at constructing, my questions involve bugeting and materials. regular pressure treated vs some kind of composite.
