Skinny Cow

Now - obviously not something for an everyday thing....but I found these today and tried one and is by far one of the best no sugar added low fat ice cream treats I have had....

"The Skinny Cow No Sugar Added Vanilla Low Fat Ice Cream Sandwich"

Serving size:  1 sandwich Calories  140; Total Fat  2gm;  Sugars 4gm (natural - not from added sugar), Sugar Alcohol 7gm; Protein 4gm

They are sweetened with Splenda.

I had a different kind of ice cream sandwich a few months back at my in laws house - and it just wasn't good, but I forget the name brand.  This one is packaged like "real" ice cream sandwiches, has the same type of cookie on the outside, and the ice cream is actually fairly rich and smooth tasting.

I'm all about moderation and understand that sugar free treats still contain calories and should not be used as a daily thing - but hey - once in awhile....

I tried the skinny dippers.  They were so good, I won't buy them again.  They are too addictive and its tempting to eat the whole box.

Some days your the dog and some days your the hydrant.

I tried the Skinny Cows a long time ago when I was on WW but didn't care for them - they might be a good treat now that I'm used to other Splenda products. Thanks.

Pam, I love the Skinny Cow  - even though I know we should stay away from them. You should try the Blue Bunny Health Smart bars. They have fudgesicles, creamsicles, etc and they are sweetened with Splenda also. They are even lower in sugar and calories. Tammy

Thanks...think I will try these now, since I need to start losing the 15lbs for surg and my downfall is ice cream lately.  Thanks for the tip!

I haven't tried them yet, although I've been eyeing them up for a while now.  A couple of weeks ago we were in Stone Harbor and there is a Cold Stone Creamery there.  They have a no-sugar added, fat free ice cream that is really, really good.  I had them add some bananas and almonds to it and it was a really nice treat.  I had a child's size portion and it was more than enough.  Again, it's not an everyday thing, but when you're with a group of people it's nice to be able to enjoy a nice treat along with them.

I have tried these... and I splited them between me and my daughter... so I still got to have some but not the whole thing...

What we split a lot is the store brand of sugar free ice cream sandwiches... a lot smaller and cheaper... Super Wal-mart, Giant, and Redners all carry them... I think they are a little over $3 ...
