***Tuesday Roll Call***

Good Grief, it is Tuesday already.   Well, my Monday was interesting.  I went shopping with my daughter and the munchkin after a doctor's appointment.  I have a cyst on my collarbone that I am going to have removed due to my seatbelt constantly rubbing against it.  Well, we shopped for a few hours in the Oxford Valley Mall, till the munchkin got too cranky for public display.  She was just plain tired.  We did hit the Disney store, and found a Disney Princess baseball for her to play with.  She loves balls, and had a Disney Princess birthday party on Saturday.  She also got a toy phone with the princesses on it.   When I got home, I got a message that my boss at the hospital needs me to work the rest of the week to cover for a therapist who will be out.  So, I will be working today at the hospital.  Not sure what the evening will hold for me.  I kind of fly by the seat of my pants when the kids are in town.  Have a great day. Hugs, Trish

Good Morning PA - it is supposed to be a beautiful day today, a little sticky but still pretty. I am going to the pool with 30+ school age children today. I am actually pretty excited about it. I don't usually go on the camp trips, since I am in charge of the younger kids, but today is an exception, where I am needed, I will go. I am looking forward to a day in the pool. I will be sure to get a workout in while I am in there. Other than that I will be cooking dinner for the family tonight and trying to catch up on some things. Hope you all have a great day. - Katie

Good Morning Everyone!!! Well today is a do whatever kind of day...hubby has car and is at work and the girls are still sleeping so it is quiet for now here.  I am just sipping on my protein drink and trying to wake up.  It is so weird...before surgery I would be drinking a huge cup of coffee with a ton of sugar and cream or a bottle of soda..now I don't even want it.  I never thought I would be able to give up caffeine and sugar let alone function with out it..but I am actually starting to enjoy my morning protein drink or CIB.  It starts the day off on a good note and I like feeling good!!LOL Last night we took the puppy to PETSmart to get a new collar and some treats.  He went nuts!  It was like he had never been there before..he was barking and crying and trying to figure out where all the dogs came from...it was embarrassing but funny.  We said he has a slight Napoleon complex!  But he loves his new rope toy..he carries it around from room to room and then drops it at your feet to tell you to play with him.  Yeah I know I have no life!!!   Well I hope everyone has a fantastic Tuesday!! Much luv!! Laura

Well let's see....last night was super busy at work.  Thankfully we had a good crew on and we muddled through it best we could.  Got in a short work out at the gym after work. I'm home and have put on a big pot of chilli in the slowcooker so hubby can help himself when he wants dinner later today and that will be my dinner after work tomorrow morning. I didn't get all of the straightening up done yesterday - but I only have one room left so I'll probably get that done before heading to bed.  Even though I took my nap yesterday, I'm pretty beat today assumingly because it was my first night back at work after vacation and readjusting to nights can be difficult. Stay cool - it's supposed to be hot stick and humid.  blech! Pam

Good Morning Trish & PA/NJ Peeps! Nothing too much happening here, just sitting at my work station, hoping this day goes by quickly. . .  did have a couple of nice comments made by co-workers around the office today. . .  I went to the outlets in AC on Saturday, needed some new bras, well stopped in Liz Claiborne and came away with two blouses and a dress, all on sale, plus I had a $10 off coupon ;), anyway, wearing the dress today and everyone is making comments, saying that the dress really shows off my new figure and how slim I'm looking and the best part is, when I left home this morning, I felt good about how I looked, here I am bragging again, oh well, for so long I felt like hiding and ashamed of the way I looked, it's nice to be where I am right now! Hugs, prayers and positive thoughts, Laureen

Good morning! (Or at least what's left of the morning!)

I'm at work today as usual, and looking forward to the Barix pre-op meeting tonight.  I got some exciting news yesterday -- after scrambling late last week to get some bloodwork done to replace a HgA1C test that was lost by the lab (ugh!), Barix received the results yesterday morning, and as of yesterday afternoon my file was sent to Scheduling, and I was told that I should hear from them this week.  I can't wait to get my date!!!!  I had such a huge sense of relief once I heard that. I feel like all my running around to get clearances and insurance approval is finally paying off! I was up early today so I went for a one mile walk before work.  I think I have been guilty of wearing the wrong shoes lately and it's giving me plantar fasciitis. :(  My heel was burning when I first woke up and it hurt to walk on it when I first got out of bed.  I gave it some time and did some flexing exercises, which helped, and when I put on my sneakers to take a walk I felt pretty good.  But now that I'm at work, wearing a pair of slip-on sandals, it's back to hurting again.  I hope this is something that improves with weight loss because right now it's a real pain in the foot! Have a good day all. Lesley

What a good day! I'm one week post-op.  I feel great !!!  Everyone who has stopped by to see me can't believe I had my surgery last week.  I'm looking forward to my appointment at Barix next Wednesday.  I promised myself I wouldn't weigh myself till then.  This has been the hardest thing to do so far.  I'll also get to go to my frist post-op meeting that evening looking forward to that and hopefully I get to meet some of you all in person.   Everyone try to stay cool it's going to be a hot one!  Rember to drink your liquids.       Lisa

Hi everyone! I just got back from my 2 mile walk.  Boy I'm sweating bullets!  My daughter and I always walk the dogs when we go.  Dela kept looking for shade and laying down when she got the chance.  It's miserable out there already!  Im scarfing down my water and then I'm going to take a cold shower and start getting ready for work. I work 2:45-11:15PM today.  This is the LAST time I have to close the store.  I'm excited about my vacation next week and then starting my new manager job.  I'm extremely thankful for the weightloss and exercise i've been doing.  It's going to make a huge difference in my new job.  Before this I probably wouldnt have lasted a few hours. I had my 3rd meeting last night.  I have now lost a total of 16lbs.  I scheduled to see my surgeon.  That appointment will be on August 4th at Magee at 11:00 AM.  What stinks is that I'll have to go back down to Magee in the evening that day for my 4th meeting.  I'll do anything to get this surgery so I'll run down there 15 times a day if I have to lol. Have a great day and stay hydrated! Diane Smileycons!
