if it weren't for bad luck

Hi Everyone. Sing a long with me....
Oh despair and agony on me....
deep dark depression, excessive misery,
If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all
Oh despair and agony on me!

As you guys know I had to have surgery on the 17th for urgent hernia repair. Today, back in the ER. I broke my pinky finger on my right hand. Well I didn't really break it, I dislocated it and twisted it tore some tendons...ya know all the good stuff.

This could have been much worse. The doctor told me that if it was broken it would have taken screws and pins to put it back together, but instead she just had to try to pull it off my hand twist it and put it back where it was before. I could have broken any other finger besides my pinky which as you can see I can still manage to type, it hurts, but I can still do it. And the ER wasn't really busy so I was able to get in, x-rays, nerve block, reset and relocate finger, and x-rays again all within about 1 1/2 hours. I consider that really fast!

However I do have to return to work on Monday from the hernia surgery so that will be a bit of a challenge. I can take pain pill and ice packs with me. My boss is really great! She is very understanding so I am sure she won't give me a hard time.

I can't wait for June to be over.

Sometimes it is like we step in it and we just can't get it off of our shoes, you know.  You just have to take the bad with the good, and keep putting one foot in front of the other.  Hang in there. Hugs, Trish
Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

Sheryl, I'm right there beside ya. If it's not one thing, it's another. One day at a time is all I manage to do. I'll worry about tomorrow, when it gets here, Lord just help me make it through today.  hugs

Well you said it right there - this could have been a lot worse and I'm glad it was a fairly "easy" fix.  I hope you are feeling better soon. Pam
Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.
