Kimmie, my condolences as well on losing your dad - its one of the hardest things we have to go thru, and I'll be praying for your sister as well, hoping for good results for her. Anyone going thru all of this would be depressed and sad - that's to be expected. I would talk to your doctor and surgeon about how to handle the depression without comfort food. I'm sure they would both have valuable advice for you. Take care - keep posting - it may help get your thru this to know you have a lot of support out here. Kathy

I am so sorry about your dad!  I was VERY close to my dad and when he died, it devestated me.  So I do know how you are feeling.  And it is so hard to not have what your used to, to help deal with the pain, too.   Now post - op, food wont help as much either.    I know that feeling of hurting so much it takes the air out of your lungs.  How I deal with things?  I pray a lot.  I journal a lot.  And I cry a lot.  And I talk to those who understand.  If you ever need to talk, feel free to email!!  I do understand how you are feeling.  ((((((((( kimmie ))))))))))  May your dad's memory be eternal!!  Georgianne
