Karen, Enjoy Seaside!  Hubby and I go there often - it's about an hour from our house!  I actually haven't been on any of the rides at Seaside - we normally walk the boardwalk and play games and what not (our favorite is Lucky Leos) Just as an FYI the last time I was there a few weeks ago - they didn't have any sf options at their various stands, which actually took me by surprise.  As far as "regular" food goes - I did ok with a childs size hamburger, eating no bun, but it might be a bit to high in fat for you with your stone problems....You might want to pack a cooler just in case.  Although most places have grilled chicken sandwiches.  I'm just leary of grilled chicken at most places, I'm always afraid it will be to dry. Enjoy your special weekend and happy anniversary! Pam

Awesome!! I have *should* have off Friday the 25th and then the weekend of the 2/3rd.  If we are gonna make a trip down there, maybe we'll meet up!  Like I said, it's not to far from us and we love going to hang out in the evenings. Pam

Thanks so much, Pam, for your suggestions.  I did plan on bringing some food with me just in case.  Plus, we're doing this weekend very cheap, bringing some chicken to make on Saturday night and some breakfast stuff.  We couldn't even really afford the hotel, but I didn't care....I needed to get away.  So we'll have some money for some games and whatnot, but that's about it.  This is called a cheap and relaxing weekend.  Though it's only Saturday and Sunday.  We're going to go early before we check in and go to the beach first, then check in and hang at the pool, make some dinner and head to the boardwalk.  Then Sunday, we plan on checking out and heading to the beach for a little while also and then figuring out what to do next.  I don't care what it is, I just need to get away for a day or so.

Thanks again, Pam.  I'll let you guys know if I go on any rides :)  This is the first time me being in Seaside.  My brother goes there every year with his in-laws.  The only shores I've ever been to are Wildwood, Cape May and Ocean City, MD, which I love and can't wait to get back there.  So this will be a whole new experience!!!

Mary - You made me want to laugh and cry all at once. I am going to Ocean CIty MD in August with my cousin and his kids. Two years ago I thought they were going to have to get the jaws of life to get me out of teacups. I was so embarrassed to say the least. Tammy

Well gosh darn it Mary you went and made all of us teary-eyed this afternoon - first because we're so happy for you and for me because I can't wait to do the same thing, although I know I'm still too big to fit, but not next year!! As for that hunka-hunka burning love you got there I guess you guys will just have to ride separately - he's gonna be tough to fix for a tux for that wedding, too!!   I'm so happy for you, and I was out looking at your pictures the other day and you're TINY, girl!! So get your butt out there and hit all the east coast amusement parks and have the ride of your life!! Kathy

Congrats Mary.   You certainly have the monopoly on emotional events.  I'm so happy for you.  You deserve all the happiness you are experiencing.  Norm is one lucky man!

Oh my gosh - I had EXACTLY the same thing happen to me at Hersheypark a couple of weeks ago. My mom and I wanted to ride the new Fahrenheit roller coaster.  As we stood in line, I kept telling her that I wasn't going to fit.  She started pointing out different people in line and saying well if that person fit - you definitely will.  Well..we finally got to the front, jumped in the seat.  I put the bar down and closed my eyes and waited to get kicked off the ride because I thought the bar didn't go down far enough. Next thing I new - the ride started!  I cried the ENTIRE time!!  What a great day!
