Rollercoasters anyone?!?!?!?!?

Well...    I did it!!!      Although I have to tell you about the paranioa going up and waiting in line.    We went to Dorney a few weeks ago, and we were standing in a line waiting to get up to the coaster Talon.   I was SO nervous.  I kept saying to Norm...  "what if i don't fit"   "do you think i'll fit?"   I was literally shaking.    I was so afraid, and convinced, that It would be a re-peat of almost 13 years ago where they would say "Ma'am, i'm sorry, but you'll have to get off the ride."    We got to the front, and were waiting for the gate to open.   Did I mention I was shaking?   I saw the seats, and I knew there was absolutely NO way I was going to fit in it...    well...   I did.    And let me tell you how much fun we had that day.   We rode everything we could In the time we were at the park.   At one point though, we were waiting in line, the people in front of us were seated, except one guy...    A kid really.    They couldn't get the restraint to close over top of him.   And what did I do when they asked him to get off?    Cried.  I felt his horrible pain...    I knew what he was feeling, and the humiliation.  I wanted to hug him.   But I knew, I just couldn't.

Anywya, we went back again yesterday, and Norm and I...   fit together..  in most of the rides.  IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!     I just really can't believe it!    I was dying to ride a rollercoaster, and set that as one of my goals from the beginning.

Now, I can check that off my list, and move right along to the others!!!!

Mary, Your post just brought tears to MY eyes.  It was just oh so similar to a post I had back in April.  Including the "I'm not gonna fit, there's no way I will fit shaking reaction" You go and ride all those rides time and time again girl - and have a blast!! That's it - you and Norm will have to come down to Great Adventure with us....and Brian and I will have to come to Dorney with you guys.  Can you imagine the havock our two boys would cause in a theme park together?  lol! Fabulous fabulous fabulous moment mary!!!  WAY TO GO!!! Pam

I had to get moved to a big seat on one of the rides because the bar wouldn't close over my chest and shoulders. BEEFCAKE

Even kidding around..   if someone said that to you, taking account of your past... bet it wouldn't make you feel too great.       Consider the audience.

Oh, Mary, what a wonderful moment to have!!!  I have the same feeling, though, about the not fitting in the seats thing.  My husband and I are going to Seaside Heights this weekend for our anniversary and I said to him about going on a few rides.  But you know what, I'm scared to death and I don't know if I can do it.  The fear is really strong that I won't fit, though I know deep inside that I probably will.  But as soon as you said you were shaking and looking at the seats, I could feel like i was with you.  Such games our minds play on us.  But I'm glad you did it and had a blast.  Now you can stop worrying and just have fun!!!!  I will let you know if I do decide to try a couple of rides. Take care.
