Wii gettin' Fit!

I was able to buy a Wii Fit the other day in the mall. I jokingly asked if it was available, and the answer of yes surprised me. They are very hard to find. It costs about $90, but is on ebay for $180...so if you buy one and don't like it, it's easy to move it at a profit.  However, you need to have a Wii system in order to use it. I am super glad I had the surgery before buying on. The maximum weight for hte game is 330, and it weighed me in at 325. Before the surgery, i would have been screwed. It helps you, and measures you do Yoga, Aerobics, Running and something else. I played for a few minutes, but I got a decent work out.  It also caluclates you BMI....it told me I was Obese! But you can set weight loss goals with it, and you are supposed to do a little everyday. It was quite fun.... IF you have a Wii, I would recommend it.

Steve, I was just talking about this with one of the nurses at work who loves it.  I was telling her I wanted to get one.  Now I definately have to.  I'll keep my eyes open for it, as I knew they were hard to get. Thanks for the review. Pam

It's nice because it tells you to set a realistic goal for weight loss. I set it to the max, which is 22 lbs. It told me it wasn't realistic, but it let's you work to that goal. I will say I got a nice jog in, they have a guide to help with pacing. If I hear of a place that has them, I will post here. I got mine at the Oxford Valley Mall.

My 26 year old son had a "connection" and was able to get me the Wii Fit for Mother's Day (normally I would have slapped him for buying me something weight related but I know he loves me...) Anyway, I love it.  I really do enjoy the exercises (ski jump, jogging, hula hoop, etc.)   It tracks your weight and BMI and it actually gives you grief if you don't check every day!  The board/scale is also pretty accurate with my bathroom scale.  I know you're not suposed to get weighed every day but I do check with the Wii almost every day. On another note, aside from the Wii fit, I love the Wii Sports games - and kick butt in bowling and baseball - and haven't broken anything around me yet.

Hi Wii Fit Lovers ! I am also a Wii Fitt Addict. I waited for so long that I ended up buying on Ebay for 142, included shipping and insurance, so wasn't so bad. The hula hoop is kicking my butt ! Love Love my Wii Fit ! Buy it you won't regret it. I was also told by my accountant that anything that helps give u a better quality of life is tax detuctible. Better bed if you have back pain, hot tubs, and I am gonna try my wii fit next year. Heck some folks tax deduct gym memberships, why not wii?

the Wii fit is awesome, when I first got it I thought it only had a few things on the aerobics site but the more you work out the more doors it opens up, I love the  free run I can do 2,5 miles in 10 minutes and the step aerobics can be tricky you just have to pay attention. the more I use it the more I want to it was well worth every penny Susan

I want a Wii! I was supposed to get one for my birthday, but my husband and step-son said none was to be found. I think I'm on some kind of waiting list. If anyone hears of one for sale, could they please post . I check the board every day. My husband also wants me to get the Wii Fit, but alas there's nothing to use it with right now! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Nancy C. Langhorne

Check your local Circuit City.  You might get lucky... and I think they still have them through their online ordering.  Even if they don't have Wii Fit available it's worth it to get the system... after all... you NEED the system to utilize Wii Fit. Cheers and Happy Hunting! -Betty
