Hello All, I don't know if anyone noticed, but I've been MIA for a week now.  It all started last Thursday when I had major pain from that lovely gallstone that I have stuck.  I was in St. Mary's twice on Thursday.  Once in the morning and then went back in the afternoon.  Then was transferred to Thomas Jefferson where I stayed for almost a week. I'm going to skip a lot of details because there is so much that happened.  First off because of the gastric bypass and because of being pregnant, the gallstone is not so easy to get rid of.  Anyway, I wound up having two procedures done, which involved them putting a little hole below my chest bone with a tube leading to my bile duct where the stone was.  Well, the end result was me having a bag hanging off to the side filling up with bile.  Not fun.  In between this procedure and the next I have some sad news....I lost the baby.  They did an ultrasound and could find no heartbeat and no fetal movement.  I'm okay now with it.  And understand that it just wasn't the right time.  Of course I'm sad and I have my moments, but I will be okay. Now with not being pregnant they went back in and internalized the tube that was hanging out of me and attached it to my bowel so that I could have the bile flowing through my body like it's supposed to.  Well, today they took the bag off and put a cap on the end of a tube that's hanging in the middle of my belly.  I had to wait about five hours to see if I would have any pain or fever or chills.  In that time I did fine and did not have to reattach the bag.  But I still have a tiny tube hanging out a little which I can deal with. I have to go back in six weeks to be reevaluated and they will work out a plan to remove the biliary tube and the stone. Needless to say this week has been ABSOLUTE HELL!!!!  I wanted to come home so bad.  I missed my family and my dogs and my house and missed you guys.  And now I'm home and am so grateful that I'm okay.  The doctors couldn't even believe all that I was going through.  But I'll tell you what, I had the best care from all of the nursing staff and every one of the doctors.  They were wonderful.  And thank God for that or my stay would have been even worse. Well, it's good be back and I hope to be back posting tomorrow.  Love you guys.  Talk to you soon!!
