I think the type of medicare insurance is also an important factor. I have Aetna Medicare. Medicaid pays $22.00 dollars of the medicare deductable, I pay only $7.00 monthly. Bill Forest (Philladelphia area) is the insurance agent I worked with to get it and of course it covers bariatric surgery. I use Access as well. I am in the Lehigh Valley area.

I'm willing to travel but, was wondering if there were any alittle closer...

UPMC Horizon in Greenville (also see patients in Franklin) accept medicaid. I have UPMC for You and they accept that. They have 3 doctors to choose from, Dr. Myers, Dr. McBean and Dr. Kolenich.

Dr Fernando Bonanni, Dr Kristin Noonan,

Dr Gintaras Antanavicius(Dr G)

They accept medicare. There are some stipulations, you have to call for exact details. I don't want to give wrong info. They don't accept medicaid alone although if you have both medicare and access like I do, access picks up their usual copay on testing at the hospital. Sofar I haven't had to pay out of pocket.

 I only have Med A.
I have to turn my medical bills over to the assistance office for them to cover them.
I am at GMC in Danville and I do hope they do NOT put me with Petrick.  My dad's 2nd wife worked at GMC and told me horror stories from his surgeries.  Too many people had to go back due to complications.

When I got my SS, I opted out of Med B due to already having health insurance. Well, since my husband ended up on SS, PEBTF told us I had to take my med B or be dropped from their plan.  I didn't take it cause WITH penalties, it would cost me $250 a month for premiums 2 yrs ago.  IF I get it now, it will cost $284 a month.   I did not know about the penalties until 2 yrs ago.  So, I do without going to docs as much as possible.

Thrills.... always something....
