Well I have Regence BC/BS pebb, and while I could be wrong, my understanding was that you had to lose greater than 5% of your bodyweight within the 6 months prior to surgery, so I don't think that it has to take 6 months to do it.  Again, I could be wrong, but that was how I had understood it, just that you had to lose a certain amount of your weight before you could be scheduled for the surgery?  Have you called the insurance company?  I called and talked to them and wasn't told that, but didn't ask about that specifically either.  They were really helpful when I called though, so I would just call and ask someone there, then document the conversation.  Good luck!

I can't say that I understand the differences between LBL, TT and the anchor cuts. If anyone has any information I would be open to know about it. Thanks.

You know I don' know if the TT should have been done differently.  I think maybe an anchor cut would have been better but I am not sure.  I really think he did what he thought was safe for me, and I guess that is what counts.  I did not push for the anchor cut either.  Take a look at my pics on my profile and see what you think.  Julia

So did you think he should have done your TT differently? I have a consult set up with him next month. Thank you for your reply!

I'm sorry I can't tell you anything about him either, but I hope that it works out for you and he is able to help you to feel better.
