I'm not to the point where I can have PS yet, but my surgeon's office staff recommended Dr. Movassahi in Eugene. I've looked at quite a few PS websites, and honestly, his results seem great. I haven't checked his credentials or anything, but the before and after pics look really good. Here's the website: http://www.drmovassaghi.com/

Good luck and congrats on your success!

WOW!!  What an incredible journey you must have had Peggy...............I agree, I will NEVER be a 6 or an 8, but a 12.....I think that is entirely possible.  I have a goal of 175.................which I think is entirely realistic and doable.  Good luck with your continued success!  We both have come a long way.........

I hear you bran.  I started out at 526 lbs on February 23, 2005, that is when I went to my PCP and approached her about the gastric by pass.  I was so deathly afraid to step on the scales and so embarrassed also.  She put me on xenical,  and I lost approx 150 lbs on that before surgery on August 22, 2006.  Today, I weigh 226, feel marvelous.  I'm not looking to get to a size 6 or 8, I am looking at just getting to a size healthy.  I too pretty much have plataued.  I will lose a lb, or gain 2 lbs back and lose it within a couple of 3 days or so.

I feel a whole lot better than I did back then, I have 2 1/2 yr old twins to chase, ( that is part of how I get my cardio).

I used Dr Robert Jensen in Medford for my BA and if I am ever able to, will go back to him for my TT!

My entire experience with him and his office was great and I am thrilled with the results!

Linda, if you are having back issues that could impact your weight loss. Best of luck to you on your upcoming surgery and if you don't need PS that is good since it is sort of expensive!

Thanks gals!  I'm hopeful.  I do get depressed about it at times, but I'm hoping once I'm back to moving around, things will improve.  ALSO, I have a presentation for our local meeting that may help to give folks a boost.  We just had a great Round Table meeting for the Support Group Leaders and I think the info is so right on.

Well, off to clean the house so I'm not stumbling all over this junk post surgery!
