Topic: Home from OHSU
Well, you'll all remember that I didn't have a very good experience in the OHSU hospital when I had my WLS. Here is the link to the story about my back surgery. I was waiting for Vincent Price or someone to come in. I'm never going back to that hospital again!

I am taking Dayquil and Nyquil and they dont seem to bother my tummy. I wasnt sure if they had aspirin in them.

I do, but I know everyone is different. My surgeons biggest warning was about NSAIDs which Nyquil doesn't have. When I'm sick I have got to have that green stuff soothing my throat and knowing there is a chance I will get some sleep - though it gives me weird dreams. It burns my tummy for a few minutes, but it always did that before WLS.

I had my surgery in Mexico on 10-10-08. I am seeing both Dr. kelly Fitzpatrick in Milwaukie, OR. & Dr. Deveney from OHSU in Portland, OR. I do not belong to a group that meets just a couple online groups. One of the groups I belong to is run by a lady that was a nurse for Dr. Kuri for 25 years. So any advise I need I can turn to her if I can not get quick results from my doctors office. If you need someone for support I would be glad to be there for you. Dr. Kelly also has an office in portland so you can be seen on Saturdays. She is so great I just love her. Cost is $190.00 for the first visit and $170.00 there after. She has a web site you can go check her out http://gastricbands.com/index.html.
