So far so good for me. The other one sort of had me lost. It seemed that you had to go to 4 different places to do anything with your account. Now it seems more centralized. I haven't done a whole lot of poking around yet though.

We'll all be ol' pros in no time I bet.

Somehow I feel like I am running around in a maze without reaching the ultimate prize.  There are some features in OH that I don't care for.  I even have problems with the new drop-down menus.

If you or anybody else need to access the User Settings, then do the following:

Click on "my oh" near the top of this page.
Click on "Settings" in the left column.
Click on the "Message Board" tab on the top.
Make the changes.
Click on the "Save" text button on the bottom of the page.

Hope this helps!

I am so lost in this new format.  It certainly looks nice, but I'm having the worst time trying to find my way around in it.  I don't know if it's the post-surgery blues, but I just kind of feel like I don't have the energy to try and find my way around.

Topic: OT: Cars Sliding Down Icy Hill Near OHSU-South Waterfront
This occurred on SW Gaines St. between SW Moody (bottom of hill) and Macadam (top of hill) Avenues in Portland, about two blocks south of the OHSU building.

There were quite a few near-misses but no crashes.  Luckily, no pedestrians, streetcars, or vehicles were hit.

you don't have to be a member of Kaiser to go to their support group meetings,  The one I go to is at Kaiser sunnybrooke, just right next to the hospital over in clackamus  There's are the last Saturday of the month.  This month, it is this coming saturday.  They last 2 hrs, starting at 10am till noon.

hope to maybe see you there,

Topic: RE: Bariatric Surgery
I got really sick after the 2nd month post-op.  I had a stricture, I could'nt keep anything down.  Vitamins, nothing.  I had to have 2 endoscopies.  Then my surgeon told me that I could get anerexic by not eating.  I thought me? "yeah right"  I had to go on a TPN for a month,  It is where they do intravenous feeding thru a picc line.  That lasted a month where I had to have the home health nurses come in and show my husband how to hook this up.  By having a picc line in, they could do my labs at home.  I am lucky, I live just right around the corner from the clinic I go to.

After having that removed, things got alot better for me.  No more problems except being dehydrated last summer when we had that heat wave.  I can't afford to be sick, I have twins who are 30 months old,  I have to have enough energy to be able to chase them around the house.

Hi there,
I would love to share more with you. Don't be frightened and ask lots and lots of questions. I had RNY last year and although its a struggle and learning experience I would definitely do it again. I am so much happier.
Support groups are one of the biggest keys. I don't know where you are but look for the closest one and attend one. Most of the time it doesn't matter if you are pre-op or post-op. It helps the before and after process. Feel free to email me and ask anything.
Good luck

-Pam
