Hi Trisha---Sorry to hear that you insurance has changed and your surgery is cancelled. That is really too bad you didn't know sooner and could have scheduled it before January. I hope the new insurance works well for you. What about Cobra with your old company for a month. My new avitar is my little grandaughter born on Novemeber 1st. She was about 24 hours old then. She has got my heart tied up! Julia

The surgery is to correct the 3 seromas that developed after the 11 hour surgery I had last summer. One is like a goose egg on my inner thigh and I can drain 43cc's of fluid off of it per day if I wanted to drain it daily.

Now I won't be having surgery on the 6th. Turns out that my former work place is changing insurance starting today so everything is undone! Must wait for insurance approval from new insurance--if they give it.

It certainly is a real shame OHSU can't have good customer relations. Sounds like they don't want any business.

I went with Legacy in Portland......turn around time wasn't too bad...............might want to give them a jingle............just an idea

Banderster Hell is when the band is in place but not filled. We are experiencing all our pre surgery hunger and while able to eat everything our doctors are telling us not to. I just had my second fill yesterday, total 2.25cc in a 4cc band. Not at my sweet spot but there is some restriction. Also had blood drawn. The needle in the arm hurt worst then the belly. Guess there are less nerves under my stomach fat. Remember how long it took you to get to this weight, and normal weight loss is 1-2 lbs a week. Long term is what counts.

We will not have a support group meeting in McMinnville on New years day, but rather we are intending to hold it on the 8th. I may not be able to attend however as I am having surgery on the 6th. If not the group will still meet !!

The Beaverton Support Group meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.

Beaverton Community Center
12350 Southwest 5th Street
Beaverton, OR 97005

You can easily find it by going to the corner of SW 5th and SW Hall across from the Beaverton Public Library. The meeting starts at 7:00 PM and goes until 8:50 PM.

Also, many people use the meeting as a place to bring and exchange clothing, so feel free to bring clothes you no longer fit in.
