As for other issues, well, I have PB'd a few times. Its not often, but it is not pleasant by any means. At 7cc's in my band, I have a hard time with bread, pasta, tough meats, and some crackers. My doc wants me to have between 100-150 grams of protein a day. I am struggling to do that without having more than 1 protein drink a day. My weight loss is currently around 53 pounds. I am very pleased with that, and hope the downward trend continues.
Good luck with the refill. Hopefully 7cc will be your magic number too.
I was at 7.3 and something happened and I definitely had restriction. Then, something happened and I became too tight. So, they took some out, and now I don't have major restriction anymore.
I am going back in the end of the month, and am hoping to have more fluid put into my band......it is like it's a guessing game and every person is different.
how is your weight loss going? Satisfied with your progress?
I am thinking my sweet spot will be around 7..........but who knows? Hoping it happens soon and stays that way for a long while, more than a couple of months anyway!
Hi everyone,
I was just curious about reaching restriction. I am currently at 7 cc in my 10 cc band, but i was wondering where/when everyone else really began to feel they had reached that "sweet spot" with their band.
Right now I can tell I have restriction, but as I loose weight will that feeling go away and will I need to tighten the band? Also, I'm always on the look out for good ways to get my protein in, so if you have suggestions, I'm all ears.
Thanks,
PDXGAL
Best of luck to you,
What I experienced after my first fill was restriction for the first week, and then it felt like I was back to will-power alone. My doctor, Steven Tersigni, does a fill every 6 weeks. Not sure if that is standard, but I was really ready for fill #2.
Good luck and keep us posted on how things go.
Best,

Its been awhile since I have posted on the forums, but I do like to check in and see how everyone is doing.
Just wanted to let you all know its been 4 months since my surgery and I am doing fantastic. I am down 53 pounds and counting. I couldn't be more please with the entire experience. Dr. Tersignin was my surgeron and his assitant is the guy who does my fills. Right now I am at 7 cc's and have FINALLY found some restriction. Phew...I was worried I was never going to get there.
Now that I have a few months under my belt (read band) I remain thrilled with this procedure and now wonder why I waited so long. In fact my father is going to Tersigni in February for his surgery too.
Happy New year everyone. Here is to a healthy start!
Best,
