I hope you can help me. I am 38 years old, 5'4 and 260. I hate myself every minute of every day because of being so overweight. I never want to go anywhere and can't visit family or friends because of it. I don't work anymore either - I WAS a musical theatre actress on her way to a great career.
I am on Medicare, haven't applied for OHP yet - and in Southern Oregon. PLEASE HELP if you can.
I'm terrified of the surgery - I hear that people die from it... but I don't want to live like this either. What's best the total Gastric Bypass or the Lapband? I want to get it done immediately.
Thank you for listening.
Where is he located? I'm in Southern Oregon, and would love to call his office.
Thank you so much.

Has not weighed myself since 1/2010. Letting my clothes gauge my progress instead.
Congratulations. It is a wonderful feeling to finally know it will happen. Now is the time to really dig in and learn as much as possible about the changes that you will go thru. Learn to eat every bite mindfully as this will help post surgery. Pay close attention to what your emotions, eyes, mouth and stomach says about every bite you take. It is a wonderful experience to see food differently and today is the beginning. I know how grateful I am that I learned a lot about being mindful before surgery as it made it much easier after. Again congratulations.
