That's wonderful Esther!! I had gastric bypass just over 3 years ago. I've had some regain and never did implement a regular exercise program. I'm disabled and have back and neck pain, along with neuropathy in both legs. Would enjoy going for a walk with you and getting a chance to meet you. My email address is [email protected]. Send me a message there, and then I can give you my phone number.
Thank you!!
Julie
Hi, Just saw your post, I live in Redmond and just starting my journey to weight loss. I would just like local support. Thank you Esther
I have 3 and the hubby had the "snip snip", so we are done lol. But yeah, good idea to wait until you are done for sure.
Thanks! I'd love to be able to have it all done at once but oh well, I am a work in progress I guess.
I'm hoping for plastics at some point, but want to make sure I'm done having kids and all that first. It would really stink to go through all of that only to stretch my belly out again. I have a really short torso, so even when I was heavy, my stomach was really pronounced when pregnant with my daughter. I'd be so mad at myself if I took care of that situation...only to realize I want one more kid or something!
You're maybe an hour and a half north of me. I'm in the Rogue Valley.
Woo! to the surgery! :)
Are you a member of the Dr. Sauceda group on here? I just booked my flight and bought my tickets to the meet and greet/consultation to meet Dr. S in Vegas in June. Do you have any pics yet?
CariH, I live in a teeny tiny town called Oakland, about an hour south of Eugene so yeah, total culture shock. I put a deposit on a PS in Eugene for my BL/BA, set surgery date is March 13!
I live in Portland and I just got back from having my plastic surgery done in Mexico by the awesome and fabulous Dr. Sauceda! I'm glad I did the medical tourism thing because I could never afford to pay for my procedures in the States, and the good doctor and his staff TREAT YOU RIGHT! I had the arm lift, long thigh lift, tummy tuck and lower body lift. The total cost was $13,300, but I also got a $600 refund for my airfare which he offers if your airfare is at least that cost, bringing my final expense to $12,700. This includes the surgeon's fee, my stay at the hotel (up to 12 days), plus two free sets of post-surgical compression garments (I checked prices--mine were worth $380, total!) and the convenience of having Dr. Sauceda visit every day and his nurse come help you shower, do wound care and get you back into your garments on a daily basis. If I EVER need anything else done, I am going back to him!
UofO and OSU are the 2 highest paid universities in the state with full-time professors having an average salary of around $100K/yr. For full-time professors at accredited universities, that's not particularly high, but for any position in the state of OR, that's a decent wage. UofO is not a privately-owned university. It is a state-owned university. The athletics department has been privatized, hence seeing Ducks paraphernalia all over the place. Knight and Kilkenny, the "private owners," have nothing to do with academics. They own the Ducks as a business venture, not out of their love of or respect for education. The university itself is a state institution.
