Support Group close to Lakeview, OR

I am in need of a support group that isn't to far from Lakeview. HA what isn't far from here? I had my surgery done May 24 2004 by Dr. Jamshid Nazarian in Beverly Hills, CA and I have only gone to one support group since then. I feel lost and I have not shared the fact that I had the operation with anyone where I live. I am not that great at leaving messages on a post but if I don't do something I think I am going to fail at this and it is scaring me. I have started eating a lot of carbs and that's what put the weight on in the first place. I would not mind driving to Medford if there was one there that is 4 hours from me but if it were in the day time and not at night that would be very good. Frances, I am planning to have my surgery in Klamath Falls and have information on several of the support groups for this surgeons members and I don't think that they care if others attend. The contact number for these groups is Dr. Mirande at 541-880-2838. They have one in Klamath Falls 1st Wednesday of every month (coming up), from 6p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Community Health Education Center Mabel Liskey Henzel Pavillion 2200 N. Eldorado Avenue Klamath Falls, Or You might want to call to make sure there are no changes. I got this information in January. They also have one in Eureka, California, Redding, California, Yreka, California and one in Medford, Oregon. Nancy, yes the support group on Monday night was in Roseburg. It is at Mercy Medical Center, and right now during construction it is being held in the cafeteria. It is monthly on the 4th Monday at 7 p.m. I will try to go each month so maybe I will see you there. It is a small group so far but looking for more members I understand. hi Frances...I drive through Lakeview from Bend to Reno at least once a month. I am nw to Bend and totally out of place. I too gained last month but then I broke every rule in the book by stress eating...how are you feeling now?...Bend is only 175 miles away...maybe we could trade off...I am still trying to get into a group here...

Hi Kathy, Don't they have a group Bend? I know they have DR there that does the operation, although I do not know who they are. My eating is stress as well I would love to move back to San Ramon, Ca where all of my children and grandchildren live but I know that will not happen any time soon. I am doing ok I have heard that they have a group in Klamath falls but it's at night and that is very hard for me to get to because of the travel my husband does not like me to come home any later then 5:00 with all of the open space and low cell phone coverage.
