Does anyone know of an insurance plan in medford oregon that covers this surgery?

I have BCBS of Oregon and I know it doesn't cover the surgery. I can get a group plan for my job but I want a plan that covers this surgery without alot of hassles. Does anyone know of a health plan that does it? Thanks

My surgeon's nurse told me that United Health Care is great and easy for approving WLS surgery.

Hey Donna! I'm in Medford. Actually, now the State of Oregon BCBS/Regence pays for wls, which is a HUGE deal because it never paid before. I'm not sure of current employers that have insurance that pays, but I know that Fred Meyer's insurance paid at one point for a friend, and I think US Cellular pays...can't recall correctly though. I am not sure about others though. I *think* someone here awhile ago took a job at Safeway because their insurance paid, but I can't remember for sure. Good luck - I hope you find your answers. Perhaps you should hit one of the support group meetings and ask around there. That should give you an indication of maybe where to go. Dina
