TUESDAY ROLL CALL
Happy Valentines' Day.
How are you all doing? Do sign in and say hi!
My husband and I are going over to our grandson's preschool this morning. They asked if someone would bring a keyboard to show the children in the morning classes, and I am going to be that someone. I'm not a good player, but my keyboard has several prerecorded songs. My grandson is going to push a couple of buttons to turn on "Star Wars." Then he gets to push buttons so it will play his favorite song, and then we will end it by it playing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star," and I hope all the kids will sing along to that one. Somewhere in between all of that, I am going to try to tell them a little bit about the keyboard. Three, four, and five-year-olds have pretty short attention spans, so I'm going to "play it by ear!"
Later on my DH and I are going over to our grandsons' house to play with them while our son and daughter-in-law go to see a financial advisor. I am so blessed that we live so close to our kids. One son is married and has two sons, ages 8 and 4 ½. They live 5 minutes away. That's where we're going this afternoon. Our other son has a wonderful Christian girlfriend, and everyone, including them, hopes this relationship will lead to marriage. He lives 10 minutes away."
I pray that you all have a good Tuesday. Valentine's Day is definitely a day for love. You are loved by everyone here on this board.

Hi Sue. How exciting! I am praying for all of you, especially the little one. Do let all of us know when the baby comes. In the meantime, how are you doing? You are now almost 2 weeks out. Are you feeling stronger each day? I hope we can get together one of these days for coffee or something. Take care, and Happy Valentines Day.
Love,
Peg

We have a little girl! Emma was born at 12:35 pm via c-section (not planned). She weighed 7-7 and was 19 inches long. She is very pretty! I am doing fine. I have had a little unhappiness in eating the last couple of days. I got either a summer type cold or allergies with a lot of post nasal drip, so when I try to eat the pureed food, I gag. Until I feel better I just decided to stay with water and my protien drink. I sure don't want to start the upchuck routine after having a wonderful surgery on my hernia! I am feeling healthy...am taking all vitamins daily and do not have to take Nexxium or Zantac at all. What I really want right now is a bath...anyone know how long I have to wait for that? Showers are fine, but we have an awesome jacuzzi tub in our bathroom that is calling my name.......I feel very blessed to feel so wonderful so soon.
So I've got a spare 10 minutes and thought I'd peek in here - and I'll be honest, I don't really know what one is supposed to do with the whole roll call thing. I need help! LOL!
As far as a Valentine's report - well, we (my husband and I) have decided to put a hold on Valentines until next month when we'll hopefully be ALL unpacked and situated in our new place, and then we'll take a weekend and go to the Coast. Totally worth the wait in my book!
Honestly, I have the world's coolest husband - who makes a point each day to let me know how loved and cherished I am - so I'm pretty spoiled!
Hope everyone has a great evening!
Blessings,
dina

What a sweet vision! Pre-schoolers are so dear, and your planned activity is just their speed. Keeping it simple is just right. Anything musical is always a hit, especially if there is a button or key to push. I'm sure you will get lots of "customers" wanting to try it out.
Valentines is now over...but there was lots of it floating around here yesterday! My two older kids have experienced the bit of a let down on Valentines Day that comes with junior high, because there is not the grand celebration you can count on in grade school (a party and all of those valentines). Then, one gets older and it turns to the business of LOVE! My husband and I deferred going out for dinner until this Friday night. We are going to try a Hawaiian resturant in Johns Landing. We are shooting for recreating our tropical vacation a bit. I got up and fixed him breakfast at 5:00 a.m. which is a huge gesture on my part! He brought me home a single slice of cake which we shared. Yummm! I requested no box of candy, but I stole one out of my sons. Hey - chocolate still calls to me!

Well my hubby is in Iraq with the Corps of Enginers but he called me that night after I got home from work, he asked me about a suprise and I told him that I didn't know what he was talking about and he told me that I would find out......I hate it when he does that.
Today I drove from Pendleton to Portland and went to the informational seminar put on by Legacy for their bariatric surgery. Stopped and had dinner in Gresham and I was so tired that I pulled into the Comfort Inn in Troutdale to spend the night....I am pumped and want to have surgery now ...see you all later...need to go to bed
I look forward to you and Deanna getting surgery dates. I thought the seminar at Legacy was very informative and well done. I think it's worth having your husband go to one at some point in the process. My husband's not very good at hearing details about medical stuff, but this went into so much more and it was good for him to hear it so that he was prepared too.
You will have to tell us what the surprise is (if you can)?!?
