Oregon Move~ Support groups in area?

Hi All My family and I will be moving to Astoria Oregon this summer w/ the Coast Guard. Are there any support groups in the area? I don't even know what the nearest towns are.

Well first of all I have to say we are waiting to welcome you to the coast! I live across the river from Astoria north of Long Beach. I do most of my shopping in Astoria/Warrington. I am hoping to connect Ocean Beach Hospital to the Obesity Institute out of Portland via tele-net... They are connected with other hospitals and groups through the state and meet as a group in whole. I also work for the hospital so I am trying to get the educational RN in on this with me.. it is possible.... I will post again if I gain any ground

Tea sounds great! I can show you were all of the deals are aroung here! If you have kids we can do the Aquarium and feed the seals in Seaside... (not too far from Astoria) Oh and the Fourth of July here on the beaches are awsome!!! Even the Kite festival in summer is fun too... Have you ever tried Aligator? High in Protien Keep in touch..
